Students find inspiration everywhere

In his short film “Ferrelli,” Mike Ferreti said “inspiration can come from anywhere.” As I watched the entries in the 5th Annual Quinnie Awards today, I thought that is precisely the theme of each one of the 16 entries.

The films featured everything from a muffin, to the theft of some lip gloss, to summer love and a race across America. Oh yes, and don’t forget one man’s search for his missing goldfish.

Congratulations to all the filmmakers, and especially the winners: Chris Flaherty for his comedy, “Goldie”; Matt Solomon in the drama/action category for “Bionicle: Out to Battle”; Sara Aniano for her music video “The Box”; and Noah Galembo for his movie “The Silent Treatment” in the other/experimental category.
