Professor Sasha Turner addresses U.N.’s remembrance for slavery victims

Sasha Turner, assistant professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences, discussed enslaved women’s resistance to reproductive control when she addressed the United Nations’ International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade on March 23 at U.N. Headquarters in New York City.
