Professor William Dunlap available to comment on ballot line fight

The Connecticut Supreme Court will hear arguments on Sept. 12 on whether Republicans should replace Democrats at the top of the ballot in November.

William Dunlap, professor in the School of Law, is available to comment.

“The Republican plaintiffs are arguing that New York’s interpretation of its law would give the top line to Connecticut’s Republicans this year. But the Connecticut statute is different in critical respects and, read literally, can plausibly, arguably necessarily, gives the top line to the Democrats,” Dunlap said.

To speak with Dunlap, please call John Morgan, associate vice president for public relations, at 203-206-4449.
