Men’s ice hockey ranked 9th in USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls

 Quinnipiac University‘s men’s ice hockey has been ranked among the top 10 in both national polls for the first time since Dec. 14, 2009. The Bobcats are currently ranked 9th in the Division I poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

Quinnipiac’s 10-game (9-0-1) undefeated streak is currently the second longest in the nation, trailing Niagara’s 11-game unbeaten streak. The Bobcats ran their perfect ECAC Hockey record to 8-0-0 with a two-game sweep of league travel partner Princeton this past weekend.

The Bobcats took the first game of the weekend, 3-1 on Dec. 7  at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center in front of 3,200 fans, in addition to the vast television audience of New England Sports Network (NESN).  The Bobcats then headed to Hobey Baker Memorial Rink in Princeton, N.J. where it shut-out the Tigers, 3-0.
