Professor Angela Mattie: ‘People in leadership positions need to start thinking about doing more outreach into the community’

mattieAngela Mattie, associate professor of management and chair of health care management and organizational leadership in the School of Business at Quinnipiac University, was quoted in the Connecticut Post about Access Health opening storefronts to bring health care to uninsured consumers in some of Connecticut’s poorest areas.

“People in leadership positions need to start thinking about doing more outreach into the community,” Mattie said. “We need to think about who we are designing this program for. We have to understand the literacy level, education level and access to computers. We have to learn their language and assist them into the system.”
