The Register reported on several recent gifts the university received, including:
- An undisclosed gift from Edward and Barbara Netter. President John L. Lahey called the gift the single largest donation in the university’s history.
- St. Vincent’s Medical Center, the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine’s primary clinical partner, pledged more than $1 million to establish the university’s first endowed chair, The St. Vincent’s Medical Center Endowed Chair in Medical Sciences.
- Bill Weldon, a vice chairman of Quinnipiac’s board of trustees and former chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson, and his wife Barbara made a $1 million donation to create the William and Barbara Weldon Chair in Rehabilitation Medicine. Both Weldons are also Quinnipiac alumni.
- OmniMD, a medical software company, donated $7.6 million worth of electronic health record software.
