Sociology instructor: Erratic driving may have contributed to U.S. Capitol confrontation

Don Sawyer, an instructor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University, was quoted in the Hartford Courant on how erratic driving may have contributed to last week’s deadly confrontation in front of the U.S. Capitol.

“It was in such close proximity to the White House and the Capitol, one of the most policed and secure areas in the country,” Sawyer said. “Any erratic driving there – or anything out of the ordinary – is going to draw attention.”
