Quinnipiac was tabbed at No. 9 when the magazine released its rankings Jan. 8.
“It is prestigious to have U.S. News & World Report recognize the quality educational experience of Quinnipiac’s online graduate business programs,” said Cynthia Gallatin, associate vice president for online programs. “Quinnipiac’s School of Business was an early adopter of online learning and the same faculty that teach our on-campus graduate business programs teach our online programs. This has provided the foundation for Quinnipiac to deliver educational programs in a virtual environment focused on student success.”
The programs were assigned an overall numerical rank based on factors including student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology.
Matthew O’Connor, dean of the School of Business, said the ranking “is a reflection of the commitment that Quinnipiac and the School of Business have made to delivering excellence in curriculum and instruction through a highly qualified and experienced faculty that teach courses both online and on campus.”
“Our mission is to also provide a very supportive environment for our online business students through technology and student services, in order to enable them to achieve the success that they seek,” O’Connor added. “We have found this to be a winning combination that characterizes the Quinnipiac online business program experience and leads to excellent outcomes for our students.”
The School of Business offers online graduate programs for a master’s degree in business administration as well as master of science degrees in information technology and organizational leadership. Quinnipiac will introduce a new master of science in business analytics in Fall 2014. The school is fully accredited by the AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The School is also ranked among the “Top 100” in the 2013 Bloomberg Businessweek annual survey of undergraduate programs.
