Hillary Haldane, assistant professor of anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Quinnipiac University, was quoted in a New Haven Register article on President Obama’s requirements for college and universities to look more broadly at violence on campus.
“This gives us the opportunity to look at the culture of rape and sexual assault on campus and bring in men as a part of the discussion,” Haldane said.
“There’s a new tone around this. I think we’re adapting a more holistic approach and that’s a new administrative approach,” she said. “The faculty is more open for students to come to us and feel safe. There’s more of an active dialogue and engagement.”
