Tim Beach ’90, vice president of operations for the New York Islanders and member of the School of Communications Advisory Board, is directing the visuals that appear during all Olympics men’s hockey games.

As a video director for the event presentation team in the Bolshoy Ice Dome at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics, Beach is among the individuals responsible for the in-arena content, which includes the video board production and entertainment presentation for the 25 men’s hockey games as well as the women’s hockey medal games.

“I have been very fortunate over the last 24 years to work in sports entertainment and to be surrounded with so many great people,” Beach said. “I enjoy working the events as much as the people who come to watch the games. Advice? Don’t say no to any offer unless you really can’t. Even the worst job will always lead to a better one.”
