Students participate in clinical rotations abroad

11665693_10153105920299423_7053069593550545710_nAbby Blake ’16 recently completed a one-month rotation in Uganda with Child Family Health International to build upon the foundation of the lessons she learned in our classrooms as part of our global public health minor. “My experience in Kabale, Uganda opened my eyes to the many challenges that health care systems face around the world that we take for granted,” she said. “People wait years for small surgeries because of the lack of materials, get denied if they have no money to pay and are not educated on the simple things they can do to prevent illness. With my master’s in health care management from Quinnipiac, I hope to address these issues to allow more people to access timely health care and become educated to lead more healthy lives.”
