Quinnipiac closed due to snow on Feb. 8

020516-snow-001Quinnipiac is closed on Monday, Feb. 8, because of the storm. Please check online for possible communication from professors. University offices will remain closed throughout the day.


2:20 p.m. update: Shuttle service suspended for rest of day

Shuttle service will remain suspended for the rest of the day.

Students must park in their assigned lots — and not on Bobcat Way. This road must remain open for plowing.


1:15 p.m. update: Students asked to move their vehicles

Students parked in Crescent, Eastview and Westview lots are asked to move their vehicles to the parking garage as soon as possible so we could plow the lots.


Noon update: Fitness centers to open

The fitness centers on our Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses will open at 1 p.m.


9:15 a.m. update: Library open

The Arnold Bernhard Library is open today, with reduced services.


9 a.m. update: Dining hall schedules

Our dining halls are operating on modified schedules today.

  • The Mount Carmel Dining Hall is open from 7:15 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Bobcat Den is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • The York Hill Dining Hall is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • The North Haven Dining Hall is closed.

7:05 a.m. update: Shuttle service

Shuttle service has been suspended with the exception of very limited service between the Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses. We may resume service at 4 p.m., weather-permitting.

  1. I am an evening adjunct and was wondering if a decision would be made soon regarding classes tonight. Snow/Flurries are predicted to go through the evening with high winds, low temperatures and icy conditions. I am more worried about getting out at 9:00 PM to a sheet of ice to have to commute on than about any accumulation of snow.
